ԹԱՆԳԱՐԱՆԱՅԻՆ ԳԻՇԵՐ 2018

International Day of Museums and Night of Museums in Armenia in 2018 will be celebrated the 15th time, in Artsakh - the 6^th. International Museum Day is celebrated on 18th of May, Night of Museums - the 19^th of May.  This year 116 museums of Armenia and Artsakh will take part in the Night of Museums. On May 18, on the International Museum Day, museums will be open until 18:00 and the next day at Night of Museums - from 18.00 to 24.00. On this day the subway will work until 01:00.
In the Historical Museum of Yerevan, there will be represented a carpet dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of the capital which will be demonstrated on the Night of Museums. They started to weave the carpet already a year ago. There will be shown the sights of Yerevan on the carpet.

In Historical - Archeological Museum-Preserve "Erebuni" some interesting events are also planned, particularly, a night walk, folk songs and dances, degustation of Urartian cuisine and more.
The visitors center of Central Bank will be open on the 18th and 19th of May from 09:00 to 18:00,. The history of banknote creation of First Republic of Armenia, commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank for the 100th anniversary of the First Republic and the Sardarapat battle as well as the history of the monetary circulation of Armenia will be represented to visitors.
The number of visitors on the Night of Museums is growing each year. In 2017 in just two days more than 200,000 people visited the museums, and it is expected that this year the number of visitors will be very high.
