During the two-day tour to Artsakh you will get acquainted with the southern part of Armenia, as well as with Artsakh.
Day 1: Lake Sevan, Dadivank Monastery, Gandzasar, Stepanakert
The first stop of the tour will be Lake Sevan located at an altitude of 1900m above sea level, surrounded by picturesque mountains. Then in Artsakh, you will visit the ancient monastery complexes of Dadivank (Khutavank) and Gandzasar. There is also a cave with a lion's head, carved out of the rock - one of the famous symbols of Gandzasar. During the tour, you will also visit the capital city of Artsakh - Stepanakert, where an overnight stay will be organized.
Day 2: Shushi, Ghazanchetsots Cathedral, Khndzoresk, Tatev Monastery and cable car, In Aren winery
The second day will begin with a visit to the city of Shushi. Located at an altitude of 1,400-1,800 meters in a mountainous country, Shushi is one of the main cities of Nagorno-Karabakh. And the main symbol and attraction of the city is the Cathedral of Surb Amenaprkich Ghazanchetsots. A special impression is left by the dome, which gives the whole structure extraordinary majesty and spirituality. Next stop will be in Khndzoresk. Here you can explore the cave system, as well as visit the church of the 5th century and a spring with arches and a deep bowl in the name of the health of nine orphans in Old Khndzoresk.
On the way back we will arrive to the longest cable car (approx. 6 km), which is registered in the Guinness Book of Records in 2010. On the Wings of Tatev, you will reach the 9th century Tatev Monastery, which was once an educational and spiritual center.
Armenia Also visit the "In Areni" winery, where you will take part in excursions inside the plant and also enjoy the excellent taste of Armenian wine. The final stop of the tour is the capital of Armenia- Yerevan.
